So the shaft in my trusty 905s cracked. Does Titleist still do repairs on these, or does anyone know a reputable shop to send it to? I'm in no position to spend a small fortune on a new driver and would very much like to have my gamer back.

Using your profile location and driver details, the shaft is easily available online and at a very reasonable price - about $45. There are pro shops/golf centers that list service in your area, including Titleist clubs. For a driver over 5 years old, asking questions at local shops and feeling comfortable trusting your baby to them would be the easiest way. Most will do the service in 1 day with an available shaft.

Thanks for the reply Don. The problem with the 905 drivers is the thru-bore design with aluminum sleeve. None of the shops in my town will touch it, which is why I posted here. I found a shop about an hour from me that can do it, but Titleist used to require that the club be sent in for repairs to make sure it was done properly. Hoping a Titleist rep will respond...

  4. Hi Richard,

As we moved away from bore through club heads we stopped stocking bore through specific shafts, so unfortunately we are no longer able to support any metal wood that is pre 909.

Thanks for the info Chris. That's kind of what I figured, but wanted to make sure before handing it off to this other shop.
