I was looking for a 913F 17* fairway wood. Titleist says that they don't have any more 17* heads in stock so I started to look online to e-bay, Amazon and some other sites. One site had a club that was in pretty good shape but I noticed that the club did not have the 17* stamped on the sole. It had to be a knock-off. Now I'm a little leery of doing this. How do you really know what you're getting? Titleist, can you help me out with this?

    Hi Frank,

Your best bet to ensure you purchase authentic Titleist product is to always buy from an authorized Titleist retailer.

Our products are primarily sold at golf courses, off course golf specialty shops and certain sporting goods stores.

In addition, authorized Titleist accounts are not permitted to sell new Titleist products on Internet auction websites. When you make purchases in these unauthorized locations, there is a much greater chance that the products offered are counterfeit.

Also, another thing to keep in mind is if a deal seems to good to be true, there is a good chance that the product is not authentic.

Personally, I NEVER purchase clubs off the internet.  Only thru people I know.  Titleist dealers and fitters.  See you Wednesday, Mike.  Thanks, Chuck......
