Got a question regarding AP2s. Any #TeamTitleist members out there go from blades or CB's and make the switch to the AP2s? I recently switched from a set of swoosh VR Pro Blades to the 714 AP2s. I love the feel and the added forgiveness they offer over the blades however I'm struggling with what feels to me the lack of feedback. I know "feel" and sound and all that jazz is subjective to everyone. However if I didn't catch a ball pure I knew where I face I was striking it. In my short experience with the AP2s I'm struggling feeling the feedback I'm looking for. There has been balls I felt like I've absolutely pured and caught them a hair high or off the toe and balls I felt like I may not have caught pure were dead center. Has anyone else had this or similar experience with the AP2s? I'm going for a fitting on Saturday for a 716 CB/MB combo set so I'm just wondering if this is all in my head or if it's something others may have experienced?

That is definitely a trade off going from blades to a larger perimeter weighted iron is feedback. Although the AP2's are more forgiving on mishits, you definitely get a more muted feel on off center hits than a blade. I've played the MB irons the past 3 years and just switched to the new 716 CB's, which by the way are awesome... I definitely get less feedback on mishits than the MB but mishit shots are a tighter dispersion and better results. So for me the trade off is way worth it. based on your comments, the 716 CB's or CB/MB combo may be a good fit for what you're looking for..... Best of Luck!!!

Buying golf clubs has frustrated me for years. I hit them all the same, as long as the lie angle is similar. I usually don't make a decision the first day I go for a spin. And for me, I'm a 2, and I can't hit the MB's anymore. I had to put my ego aside because my handicap has risen for the last 3 years, a shot a year. Be careful to check the lofts on the combo sets, as they may vary.......

Thanks for the reply Edward. I just finished the year at 1.8 which stayed the same as last year. Ball striking isn't what's holding me back from improving. Unfortunately it's life and not being able to dedicate enough time to my short game lol. I was playing VR Pro Blades before the AP2's as I was trying to swallow my pride a bit and get a little extra help. The more time I spent with the AP2's the more I was struggling with the feedback or lack of I should say. They feel fantastic, but everything feels great like I said in my OP. I know it sounds kind of stupid but I like having the feedback of knowing where I mishit it on the face. I will definitely check the lofts on the CB/MB's. I have access to a loft/lie machine so if anything needs tweaking I can do that myself.

I actually just went to demo the new 716 CB/MB's and decided for a combo set. Placed the order last weekend and can't wait for them to come in! Thank you for your reply!
