Hey Team Titleist! I am currently playing an old set of 710 AP2's and am looking to upgrade. I love my AP2's but have also been drawn to the new CB model. I've heard that the AP2 is stainless steel while the CB model, over time, may rust. Is there any truth to this? Thank you. I am a huge fan and have/always will play Titleist.

I play with loyal Titleist guys, and we have all the irons covered. From AP2's, MB's, and CB's. I've only seen some face wear from the coating they use, but never any rust. The guy with the CB's is better than scratch, and after a lot of golf, they look great. Of course, there will always be that one or two cases where it could happen with a forged club, but the odds are low. Titleist stands behind their product like no other.....

The softer forged clubs will always show wear more than a cast steel club, but if you keep iron covers on, and wipe your clubs after every shot and especially after every round, your CBs will look just as good after a hundred rounds as your AP2s do now.

Moisture is the enemy, so keep them dry, and avoid hitting wet range balls with sand stuck to them, or with a dirt all over your clubface.
