On the 27 of May 2015 I visited the Titleist fitting centre at Spring Valley Golf Club and was fitted for a set of irons, driver and fairway wood. After this I went back to my golf club and ordered a set of 714 AP2 irons with the specs from the fitting centre. Great! I have had the irons since early June, just on 5 months, and I would have played maybe 15 rounds with them. They are kept in iron covers and look like the day I bought them. However this afternoon I took them to my local golf club maker to have the lofts and lie angles checked after some mixed results. I was horrified to learn the some of my irons were up to 1.5/2 degrees out in loft and lie angles to what I had been fitted for! This is ridiculous Titleist! I paid top dollar for this set. Took the time and paid the money to be correctly fitted at your facility and then the factory just slap something together and send it out. I'm not happy about this and feel that some sort of compensation is in order. I have recently purchased a 915 driver as well. Should I be getting the specs on that checked too?
I would like to discuss this issue further and I will be notifying my pro shop of this matter also.

    Thanks

Hi Daniel, I'm sorry to hear about your irons and can understand your frustration.  Please know that all swingweight, and /or loft and lie machines are not created equal. We do calibrate our machines on a regular basis and use specially built nests and lasers to set loft and lie.  That being said, we would like to bring in your irons and take a look at them.  As you are in Australia, we will forward your note to our Acushnet Australia offic.

Daniel, Titleist stands behind their equipment 100% and any error will be corrected to your satisfaction.  I am 100% Titleist equipment and am completely happy.

Daniel I have worked in the golf industry long enough to know this is not something the Titleist would do intentionally. Also if you use your irons on firm surfaces they will adjust slowly over time, but not as much as you mentioned. Lastly having been trained extensively using a loft and lie machine, it is not an easy task to get the measurements exact so I would get a second opinion just for peace of mind. Sorry to hear of your frustration and sorry if this is information you already know, I just appreciate Acushnet as a company and feel obligated to say something. Good luck.
