Not sure if I'm being paranoid, but this doesn't seem right. Could be normal and I just hear it from hitting shots on my simulator in my basement, but this is how it goes:

    1) I hit a shot

    2) Then, I lean (barely) on the club standing upright and it makes a crackling sound near the top, just below the grip, pretty much every time.

Should I be concerned over the quality of the shaft, or is this completely acceptable?

It is not even 2 months old.

  2. Hi B.A.,

We will be more than happy to bring your driver back in for inspection under warranty, assuming it is only two months old, and ensure the quality of each component. This can be arranged through your local golf shop. Let us know if you have any issues getting the work order arranged.

Thanks Chris! If I do that, do I need to send the shaft and clubhead in, or would it be acceptable to just send the shaft? I'm debating putting one of my other 915 shafts (have 2 others) on his clubhead in the meantime. If not, I still have my D3, but it may be a good time to try some different combinations anyway.

    Thanks,

    Ben

  4. Hi B.A.

This is your choice. If you only want us to look at the shaft there would not be a need for the club head, but if you wanted a complete inspection we would need both components.
