AP2 716 AMT Shafts

    I am a 65-yr-old, 12 hc, 95 mph driver swing speed. I love my new AP2s! I finally just purchased a set of AP2 716 irons with DG AMT shafts. One reason I delayed a year was that I was sure I needed lighter shafts with a higher launch. I was certain DG S300 were too heavy and too low, so I looked for a set with lighter shafts and a higher ball flight. Bottom line is: the DG AMT S300 shafts go plenty high. In fact, I had trouble getting it to go low into the wind. The AMTs are just easy to get airborne! I'm psyched to hit the course with these irons. Did anybody else find the Titleist shaft comparison chart much ado about little?

    Played a good round yesterday and was very pleased with my iron striking. The AP2s with DG AMT continue to surprise me with their height and control. Previously I played KBS C-Taper Lite, which is a higher trajectory, but weigh 110 grams versus the 130- gram AMTs. Apparently heavier shafts were the right move for me.
