  1. I have played the Titleist 704cb for about 6 years now since my dad upgraded. Looking to do the same but really am nervous to spend the money as I hit these still pretty good. I'm not the best golfer in the world but about a 10-13 handicap. I love the look/size and feel of the 704's they are just getting old. Any suggestions? FYI THEY DONT HAVE TO BE BRAND NEW ... A FEW YEARS OLD IS OK.

    Thanks!

  2. The 714 CB is a great iron

I think the 755 are an older model that compare to the 704's (which is one of my favorites). I currently play a set of the 714.cb and they seem to have a slightly smaller profile but perform very well.

I went from the similar 804os to the 710 AP2's recently. I haven't had a chance to swing them yet due to illness, but they seem to have the same feel, and are a newer model with more current technology. I'm sure they will give the same feel with a bit more distance and ball working ability.
  5. I have been playing my forged 704 CB's for 12 years after getting fitted. Just like you, I'm 10 handicap, and hit them well. Every time I get the urge to upgrade I go look at the new forged irons out their and they just don't "look or feel" like a $1000 better than the 704's. The only advantage I can see to upgrading is that the 704s have the U shaped grooves and edges are pretty rounded. Illegal to sharpen them for competition. So upgrading would get you sharper grooves, the new V style grooves, and clubs would be legal.
