  1. Hello!

My favorite wedge is an old 260-08 I refinished. It is conforming. I have a line on a used 252-08 wedge, but the type is red not black.

Does anyone know what type of wedge this is, and if it is conforming? I know a red saw is non-conforming, not sure about red type.

Almost certain that it isn't given that model is prior to the spin mills
  3. Thanks Corey. I have a 260-08 that is but it has a saw and "SM4" in the bottom left corner. I can't find anything that looks like that wedge in the USGA database. Do you have idea what model that wedge is?

The 52 is non conforming, a 2008 or earlier model; Models after Jan 2010 are conforming. SM4 is a 2011 initial release with a large campaign to boast its CC conformity to the new groove rules. I have 60 - 70 Titleist Satin and Raw finish models that are now non conforming, but I should not have any issues unless I attempt to qualify for a USGA event, and even so, I picked up 3 used SM4 wedges that had "off" shafts, personalization initial stampings, and one over length for 28.99 each. Cut down the over length shaft, Kept the Tour Issue and the KBS 610 shafts, ignore the initials, and when I could not find a 54 degree Gap/Strong Sand Wedge, found one of the stamped SM4s in 52.08 and adjusted the loft to 54, problem solved, 54, 56, and 60 now covered. Currently have 9 pre 2010 Titleist iron sets, three CC conforming iron sets. Still working to find the right shafts for these three so if I have to put them into play, they will be ready to for any CC required tourneys. If your listening Titleist, would love to talk about finding a way to bring my pre 2010 sets to CC and use them in competition. DCI-B, 1 iron, 3-pw; 962B, 2-pw; 990B, 1 iron, 3-pw; 681, 3-pw, 680, 3-pw; 670, 3-pw; 762B, 3-pw; 1994 - 1997 Titleist Tour Model, 2 sets, 3-pw, and 2-pw.
  5. Hi John,

The 200 series wedge pictured is from circa 2006 and is non conforming to the current groove rules.

The inline Vokey wedges that conform are CC, SM4, SM5, and SM6 series.
