  1. I am toying with the idea of purchasing a TMB 4 iron. I currently have a 815 Hybrid which is ridiculously easy to hit however I cant really hit any punch shots.

Has anyone got any experience of the TMB? Would you recommend it? How hard is it to hit compared to a normal 4 iron? D o you have a steel or graphite shaft?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Chris!
I use a 4-iron and a 816 H1 21 degree hybrid. As yourself I have problems with hitting lower shots with my hybrid as the thing just climbs no matter what I do. A friend of mine purchased a T-MB 3-iron and after hitting it I loved it. However I found it harder to get consistent results with it from the rough or bad lies, those Par-5 second save shots you need in your arsenal was very difficult without my hybrid. That's why I'm sticking with my hybrid, might look to change into the H2 head one day for a more penetrating ball flight but without sacrificing some of the versatility from the rough. Good luck!
    Cheers from Sweden

Interesting that I have a 716 T-MB 4iron that I find harder to be consistent with than a 24 hybrid but you gain the punch shot ability which i love. New to the game so I cannot compare it to another 4 iron.

I am a 12 handicap and thought the same thing and actually did go with a ap2 4iron. I now only exclusively use this to punch a low shot from under a tree on a wayward drive, stick with the hybrid if possible

I have a 19° & 23° 816 H1 and love them. I use the 19° on low punch shots and if that's too long I'll use my 5I if the 19° is going to be too long. I get way more consistency using the 816 H1s.

I have the T-MB 4 and 5 irons in amt stiff shafts, put a nice smooth swing on them and they're belters of a club. I use 816 19 hybrid having found the 3 T-MB too much to handle.
  7. I prefer hybrids to long irons. I have used the 712u 4 iron in the past and I prefer my hybrid. I currently carry a 19* and 23* 816H2 and absolutely love them. I have no problem altering the traj of my shot. I can hit them low, high, draw, cut... they are awesome.
