Counter Balanced Putters

    Does anyone have experience or expertise with counter balanced putters? I was recently fitted for an Odyssey O-Works V-Line Fang putter. It came with a Super Stroke counter balanced grip but did not come with a weight installed. I added a 50g weight to the grip and love the feel but have not noticed much improvement with my putting. Since my putter was fitted at standard length (34"), should I lengthen the shaft to get the benefit of the counter balancing? Thanks #TT.

    The only non-Titleist club in my bag is an Odyssey counter balanced putter. It has greatly improved my putting game.

    With a standard putter, I use a 34". With a counter balanced putter, I use a 37.5". You need to choke down to get the counter balance effect in the grip.

    34" may be too short for what you're trying to accomplish.
