  1. I just purchased a 915 D2 "demo" from a major golf retailer. The shaft is the Diamana 'ilima 61g, Regular flex. After doing some research, it appears this might actually be a shaft from a 910D2. I should have asked questions at the store because the grip was not a stock grip, but I was in a hurry, the head was in perfect shape and it was 20% off. The price tag which is still on the shaft clearly says "DEMO". I think the shaft will be right for me at 65 years old and a 90 mph swing speed, but I feel like they duped me and that I should go back and ask for some kind of credit because the shaft is 7 years old. Any thoughts?

I had something similar happen to me. But I look at it like "I hit it good it's a custom set up". Besides "let the buyer beware . So I ask you, "how are you hitting it" ?

Since you are concerned about the shaft, then you should return it. If you search online you can still find new 915s with "standard" shafts. Try looking on Golf Galaxy, PGA Tour Superstore, Golf Discount, Carl's Golfland and The Golf Warehouse. Another option would be to see if you can order one from Titleist through your home courses pro shop.

Sorry to say, but it sounds more like you purchased a club, that fit your price range w/o doing due diligence or speaking w/ a sales rep. So technically, they didn't "dupe" you. If a sales rep told you this was a current stock 915 demo, then that would be a different story. Most stores that buy back clubs, or have a money-back guarantee will mark returned clubs as demos vs. the club being a stock-demo. It's still a solid setup if it fits your needs.
