    Got the call Friday from Jim Pooler my Titleist fitter that my custom fit 718 AP 1's arrived!!

    Here's a look!

    They're beautiful and in my bag ready for their maiden voyage! They feel ever so slightly slightly heavier...it could be me but they actually feel more balanced and ...ever so right!

    Love the top line, profile and the overall new design and appearance! Titleist eliminated the cavity back on the 5 iron which to me says it's going to play more like a more forgiving long iron.

    My setup -

    Irons- 5-PW Lie: 2 Degrees Flat Shafts: Graphite- Kurukage - Low Balance Constant Mass - 65G - Mitsubishi Rayon Flex - R Length- Standard Special Grips- Golf Pride CP2 Pro Red, White & Black -( Logo Down-Underneath )

    Completely amped. They're B E A U T I F U L!

    Titleist...The ULTIMATE in GOLF IMO!

    Great looking set of irons!! Hit em long & straight when you take them out for their first trip around the course.
    Still waiting on mine...hope they arrive very soon. I went with the 5 - GW with the AMT Red R300 shaft.

    A few years ago, I accidentally hit a 6 iron AP2 and was blown away how well I hit it. Ever since then, wanting to get a fitting. Your clubs look awesome. Enjoy them.

    Great looking club. I'm torn between wanting to move up to the AP3 or sticking with the ultimate forgiveness in the AP1. Guess my demoing of them at Team Titleist event will go a long way in determining that, as well as trying to get to a Titleist Thursday!

    Did you hit any with the Tensei graphite shafts? Considering switching from steel, but, wondering about feel with the weight difference.

    I did hit the graphite, but dont care for graphite shafts on my irons. I don't remember a distinct lighter feel.

    My new AP1's are in my bag today. Played nine holes with them. Got new Vokey wedges to match and new 917 D2 21deg F . Just waiting for new 818 27/25 hybrids./

    I got the call yesterday that my clubs had arrived. I dropped everything and went and picked them up. Ended up with a new lightweight cart bag too, I couldn't put my new clubs in an old bag!

    Picked up my new AP3's and T-MB's and 818 hybrid this Wednesday and have been hitting the ball with great consistency! The look and feel is fantastic. The fitting at Golfland Granville in Granville Ohio was spot on for my game.
    I glad I didn't put off getting fitted as I was fitted on Labor Day and they arrived about 2 weeks later. Didn't have to wait all winter long to enjoy them!

    Just ordered some 718 AP1's, 5-9, PW and W. Project X LZ shafts, 125 grams. Got a really good deal from my pro-shop. I'm coming from the 712 AP1's, I've been playing them for over 5 years, so I'm expecting huge gains in my game.

    When I tried them out I also tried the AP3's...they look and hit nice, but I just couldn't justify the extra cost.

    Anyway, just thought I'd clog up the forum a little..
