Love my new Titleist 910 MB irons (not so much with the 910 Fd).

I recently ordered and received all new Titleist irons along with a fairway wood. After playing 962's (2-SW) for the past 14+ years, I thought it was time to make a change. I'm still using my 909 D3 driver with a UST Mamiya Proforce V2 86 shaft, so no change there.

Well, after spending many days researching which model to get, I ended up going with the following:

910 Fd, 15 degree, UST Mamiya Proforce V2 86, stiff shaft, TV midsize grips.

910 CB 2 iron, 1 degree strong, 2 degree flat, standard length, DG 300 shaft, TV midsize grips.

910 MB 3-PW, 2 degree flat, standard length, DG 300 shafts, TV midsize grips.

Vokey 52-08 c-c wedge, DG 400 shaft, TV midsize grip.

Vokey 58-12 c-c wedge, DG 400 shaft, TV midsize grip.

I absolutely love these new irons. If you are debating between the CB's and MB's, go with the MB's. They are awesome! The CB 2 iron took me a few hits to get use to, but now it is straight and in the 220-240 yard range. I'm still figuring out the exact MB yardages. I'm estimating that they are about the same distances as my previous 962's (PW-125 yrds, 8- 150 yds, 6- 175 yrds, 4- 200 yrds, 3- 220 yrds). The MB's feel great, even with the longer irons.

The 910 Fd is just what I was looking for (240+ yard range). Although I did not extensively try the F, I can say that I haven't had any trouble hitting the Fd from the fairway. Although the F "may" be easier to hit from the fairway, the Fd isn't as hard to hit as some have posted here before. The only problem with the Fd might turn out to be its poor quality. I mishit a ball (hit it high on the face) and it caused the paint/coating to chip off the top/face of the club. I'm sure it's cosmetic only, but that's ridiculous. It's obviously going to happen again. Considering I've only hit the club about 40 times, chipped paint already is unsatisfactory. I love the club, but I'm heavily considering returning it and going with another manufacturer. Titleist shouldn't be proud of its quality on this club.

No matter what I do with the Fd, I will happily have the 910 MB irons for many many years to come. These irons are just simply the best.

    Happy golfing to all.

I think your irons are 710's

I sky marked my 907, I shouldn't have done that.

I wonder if that GS-27(I think) as seen on TV scratch remover would work?

You are correct.....They are 710's. Why I wrote 910 irons, I don't know. I was probably still thinking of the Fd when I was typing. I wish I could change the title to read- Love my new Titleist 710 MB's then. I'm not sure if a scratch remover would work or not. I'm assuming you're talking about that stuff for like car scratches and such? In my case it wouldn't because it's actually chipped away and not scratched. If it works let us know. I may need it down the road.
