My name is Jake and I got my first ever hole in one on July 31st at Shady Hollow Country Club in Massillon OH. My wife and I were on a date night while my mom babysat our two little ones. I’m 33 years old and have been an avid golfer for about 20 years. This was the first time my wife and I have ever played together. #8 at Shady Hollow played 191 yards from the tips. I hit a 5 iron with a little draw on it and it disappeared. My first thought was it was a little long and was blocked out by the flagstick. I celebrated a little bit on the tee box but not fully because I didn’t want to be that guy celebrating and it not actually be in. I drove down to the hole got out and ran to the hole to check it out. The ball was in the hole and then I finally fully celebrated. I gave my good luck charm of a wife a big hug and we had a great night in the clubhouse.
