The 16th hole at Wanstead Golf Club is 145 yards over water. On my previous round I hit two balls into the water! On 5th August with a 6 iron in hand I decided to play safe a hit the ball towards the greenside bunker. The strike wasn't perfect but the ball landed between the water and the bunker. It bounced twice and started rolling towards the hole. Myself and my 2 playing partners heard a click when it hit the pin but it appeared to be still above ground. We went up to the hole and the ball was in the hole but being held by the pin showing half the ball. High fives all round and we headed to the bar for a well deserved pint!!
