I was playing a club matchplay match and we started on the 10th tee. As we turned for the back nine (1st hole) I was 1 down. The players on the tee called us through and they commented on the extra pressure of them watching. I hit a high cut with my 3 wood and titleist prov1x and it was headed towards the green. We got down the fairway green side and it was nowhere to be seen. I checked the front and back traps but nothing. My opponent grinned and said have checked the hole so I did. There it was my prov1x looking up at me from the bottom of the cup. 289 yards in one swoop. Elation ensued as this was my first hole in one and I have been playing for 30+ years.
