My 10 year old daughter was playing in the kid’s league and was on hole 4 at Alpine Country Club. When we got to the tee box, she said, “Dad I already wrote down my score for this hole.” I asked her what she wrote down, and she showed me that she put down a 1. I told her in your dreams. Well, she got her 9-iron and hit a beautiful high shot that landed on the green, took two bounces, and then rolled right into the cup. I could not believe it! She was so happy and had tears in her eyes. Then I realized that I had made her a promise, that if she ever got a hole-in-one, I would buy her Chick-fil-A everyday for a month! She definitely will be eating more chicken in the month of August.
