A 9 iron 123 yards isn’t the news of the day given my playing partners would hit their 9 in the 150 range but I’m pushing 75 years from the short side. Early this morning a passing thought crossed my mind wondering what a hole-in-one might do for our chance at winning the four man event today having finished 2nd the previous 2 attempts. On the tee I was just trying to hit it close and keep our 6 hole birdie streak alive. My buddy, who invited me to join yet again, jumps out of the cart and says keep rolling. Then he jumps straight up and says “it went in!” A little stunned of course I said “for real” while he’s laughing and saying yes Higgs it really went it! My eye sight isn’t the best either I must add but then again it was a little distracting him jumping out of the cart waving his arms while the other two were hooting and shouting. That shot completed the full deck, all the par 3’s at Aberdeen after 17+ years playing there regularly. It also helped propel us to a 56 and win by two! Thanks Titleist for always being there for us!
