Approximately 12 years ago I had my first hole in one under unusual circumstances. I thought that I would never have another. But after playing particularly badly on the front nine, I turned it around on the back. On #14 of our Magnolia course I selected a 7 iron for the 134 yard distance. There was a little wind in our face. I made good contact and the ball was on a good line to the pin. Unfortunately the pin was in a shadow and I could not see the ball drop. A playing partner hit a great shot, visible and about 10 feet left of the hole. When we drove around to the back of the hole and walked up only 1 golf ball was visible. Our other colleague was off the green left. Walked up to the hole and there it was. The ball mark was about 5 feet in front of the pin. Appropriately I was using a Titleist Pro V1 #2 for my second ace!
