We had a customer appreciation event at the Pelican Hill Country Club on Dec 19th 2024!

From a personal standpoint for me the unthinkable happened. (Bear with me for the set up) Hole#12, 144 yard par 3, (2nd best hole, hole #13 125 yard par3 is their signature hole) I requested the caddie to make a video of my swing, and he said you should probably save it for hole 13. In my mind I was going to ask him to make a video on both 12 and 13. So basically I forced him to record the swing!!

And then I flushed a 9iron as pure as pure as I can ever hit, it looked good in the air, I implored it be to the right club, and get close to the hole, but to my horror I air mailed it by a good 10 yards. But but but there was a backslope on the top of the green. It hit the backslope and it started trickling towards the hole. Usually it never goes, in I couldn’t see it. But guess what it WENT IN FOR MY 1st HOLE IN ONE EVER.

I did not ask for a recording on the 13th hole, this was enuf, but I still hit a good shot and came up 10 ft shot of the hole hahahah, on hole 16 I almost jarred an approach shot in, it hit the flagstick and fell an inch short. All in all probably my best round of the year where I shot a 75! (1 Eagle and 2 Birdies)

Turns out My evening got more interesting I ran into Bob Costas and Maria Taylor at the pelican bar, Was a major fanboy moment for me with Bob, told him how much I missed him and Johnny on the golf brodcast and even gave him a snippet of his call from the 2007 us open at oakmont, Posed for a pic with him, and I told Maria that she was coolest nfl sportscaster, she was awesome to chat with too
