What a moment! Hole 7 on Pinehurst no. 1 is a 167 yard downhill par 3 onto a green that slopes away from the front to the back of the green. I hit a high fade 8 iron that landed in the center of the green and started rolling through golden hour shadows. Knowing this was a Donald Ross course, I figured this would keep on rolling until eventually finding the rear collection area behind the green.

My buddy who I was playing with was adamant that it went in, but we've all had our hearts broken too many times to believe a statement like that. Sure enough, no ball on the green, no ball in the collection area. My buddy checked the hole and walked away straight faced. I check the hole and sure enough! Looking back at me is a Titleist 4 Pro V1 Left Dash with my black circle on it. Lots of screaming and jumping around ensued right on cue. Truly an unforgettable moment.
