Such sad news to here that Jarrod is stopping treatment and preparing to end his ongoing battle with cancer. He put up a great fight and was such a great role model, father, husband, and friend to many. He reminds us that it’s not how many tournaments you win or record scores you post that makes you great. He will be missed but not forgotten. I had to break out the yellow Titleist hat tonight and play nine holes as my way of saying thanks to our fellow Titleist player. May your final days be peaceful.

It's always been said that the definition of guts is grace under pressure. Can there be a better example of this than Jarrod Lyle. Go easy Jarrod and may God have mercy on your final days.

When I read the update from Jarrod's wife, I was sick to my stomach. Some things in life are truly just not fair, and this situation falls right in that spot.

Cancer is such a S_itty disease and it really amazes me that at this point in our lives with all of the advancements in healthcare and medicine that they can't end this crazy thing.

Cancer impacts so many people in our lives and it just has to be "written out of the rule books" for good!!

I wish Jarrod, his wife and 2 little girls all the best and I wish them nothing but the best for the rest of their lives.

Jarrod is just way too young to leave us. He will always be remembered and Dale what a great tribute to wear that hat to acknowledge Jarrod...

Let's try and find a cure for this stupid disease....

Hurts to see this news Garry. You said it well. :(
I just can't express myself adequately about Jarrod.
  5. Titleist should put out a limited edition hat in honor of him with proceeds going to his family.

I think this is a great idea. A yellow hat and visor with some proceeds to the family.

Yes, it looks like Titleist is doing a limited edition hat the players are wearing on tour this week and also will be available to purchase at www.challenge.org.au. Not sure when, but I have heard soon on several social media posts.

I would think Jarrod would be very pleased with how you honored him…wear a yellow cap and play 9 holes.

    Thanks for the post, Dale.

I have. A friend who has just decided that he is going to stop treatment and just wants to be made comfortable in the remaining time he has, he is a retired Marine and Purple Heart receiptant and has battled it like the true warrior he is. I only wish they could find a cure for this terrible disease

  15. My wife is a recent survivor of an aggressive skin cancer which with the help of the Juravinski Clinic in Hamilton Ont, helped her survive this horrible disease.
My heart goes out to the Lyle family, Jarrod is an inspiration to us all although he probably doesn't know it! Please know that you are not alone and there are many people who would love to help in any way shape or fashion.

    Indeed very very sad news.
I caddied for Jarrod Lyle back in 2005 in Dubai. He was just such a nice guy, always passioned about the game of golf and really hard worker on his swing. Great player and family man. We will miss him.
    Yellow caps on!

    Happy swings,

    Hello Team Titleist,
As mentioned I caddied for Jarrod Lyle back in 2005 in Dubai. I asked if some caddies could pull off their players to wear yellow in down under.

So here's some images: The players celebrated the life of Jarrod Lyle by wearing yellow today!

    Show me your yellow's !!

    Happy swings,
