Phantom x 5.5 vs phantom 5S

    Hey everyone. I recently changed my putter to the 5S. I used an X 5.5 for years and had some success with it but I recently changed for the upcoming season to try and hike more putts. The main reason being is that I do have a more straight back-through path and through the center shaft may help with consistency. I’m interested to hear anyone’s thoughts or if anyone has seen success with changing to the 5s.

    If you have straight back, straight through path, then yes, a face-balanced putter will fit your stroke better. Phantom 5 or 5S will work better.

    Hi Nathan, as someone who used to have the phantom 5.5 and switched recently. I went with the phantom 5 instead of the 5s only because I don't love the look of the 5s and prefer the 5. However I almost positive that they have the same characteristics being they are both for more straight back-through putting strokes. At the end of the day I think just go with what suits your eye the best.
