tournaments near by?

    I'm a senior in highschool, who wishes to play in colledge for aTm, but the central Texas junior golf association isn't doing many tournaments in the waco area. I was wondering if anyone knows of any junior tournaments (be it titleist or not) in or near the central texas area that don't require you to be on a school team. (I'm homeschooled and apparently unwelcomed at public school events.)

    hey Ethan, same name as my youngest son...

    anyway, my advice for you will be to look up your state golf association's web site for information. Inquire about some any kind of local tournaments (such as club tournaments). That is a way to showcase your golf skills, perform well and you might get recruited for some colleges. Playing a lot and exposing yourself to different people may give you a chance to get connected to the right people. Lastly, just inquire on the colleges you'd like to get into, ask about their golf team and maybe join a try-out or something...
