I totally agree. The old style beanies definitely protect your ears better & fit more securely. The new still look good but do not perform as well. I live in the Cleveland Ohio area & golf a lot in cold conditions, so I have first hand experience with this.

i don't know much about the "beanie" style hats. i try to stick to the standard ball caps, but i do share your frustration with Titleist hats. I have purchased at least 3 hats in the past 6-9 months and do not like the way they fit and cant find one that is any different they all look and fit weird. Has Titleist done something different to their hats, changed the sizing, structure,or what this used not to be a problem? Please solve this soon.

haha thanks guys! i'm glad their are other people with me on this argument. i miss my titleist fleece hat, it was so comfy, now i'm stuck with a black and red beanie that doesn't stay on, so it's in the trash :)

I agree, old style all the way!

I'm with you on this too!

I've had one since high school (10+ years ago) and I just love it. The new beanies don't even compare.

Couldn't agree more! The new hats are ridiculous. I've had two that were both stolen. Just goes to show that there was nothing wrong with the original ones.

Im fed up with the new "beanie" style hats. they are not the best. not just the titleist ones but all beanies. they dont stay on if your head isnt abnormally small, and theyre all sold as one size fits all, its ridiculous. titleist, we want you to bring back the winter hats that were plain black and fold up from the bottom. they stretch over your head and protect your ears better. And that seems to be the style at my school and every school ive seen this winter. beanies are an awful idea. ecspecially for golf. the last thing i want to be worried about in my round is to get my hat to stop pulling itself off of my ears. SO PLEASE, FOR NEXT YEAR BRING BACK THE OLD FOLD UP FLEECE HATS. IF IT'S NOT BROKE DON'T FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, Titleist I believe the people have spoken...just another gripe about the poor quality of quality and selection. I'm with you Sam.

I still have one of those regular titleist stocking hats......they are the best

do all you guys not like the pom pom hats? I like the old winter hats too but I think the new pom poms are fresh. i got one of each color on the way.

I agree with Eric. I do like the look of the new pom pom hats, but I haven't tried one yet. None of the golf stores in my area have them.
Eric - where did you order from?
Ty WebbWilmington, NC
I agree, sometimes older is better.
Andrew ACharlotte, NC
Agreed. I actually have both versions and pretty wear the beanie style when shoveling the driveway or out for a minimal amount of time. Anything longer than 45 mins, the old style fold up fleece goes on my head. It's way more warm and comfortable for a four hour round of golf.
Titleist should be selling styles and in more color options
I ordered them through my golf shop but they won't get to me until jan 1st. I don't know if they are back ordered or if that's just when all of them are going to be shipped.

I'm pretty good with either, both of them are very warm.

I like the old style better. I could adjust it either up or down, depending how cold it is outside. I could cover my ears if it was really cold. It felt comfortable too!
Chris MGrindelwald,
Totally agree with you Sam

new hats are just OK.
really preferred the old caps .

I have the current style hat and I agree they just don't stay down around your ears. I've stopped wearing it unless it's more mild and I don't mind part of my ears sticking out. If you look at the companies that have snow sport apparel, they all have started offering hats that look like the Titleist style but are bigger and can be pulled down farther. Hopefully Titleist will follow suit in the coming years.
