Some people will tell you to play the same ball year round, others will say switch to a "soft" ball for the winter.  If you are thinking about switching balls, then I suggest getting a sleeve of the new DT Trusoft, or whichever ball your are thinking about changing to, and try them out.  Then make your decision.

I've heard the same, try to use a softer ball.  Honestly, when it gets to cold weather season here in PA, I just stop worrying about my score and just enjoy being out on the course.  So I personally don't bother switching balls.

i would typically say stay with one ball year round or go softer. However, me on the other hand have decided to look for more of an edge and is putting in play the ProV1x. I've played the Pro V1 forever and just looking for a little something extra to work on during the off season.  I am a high spin player and have put in play the 911 line and it has done wonders and looking to possible add the 915 D4 and Pro V1x for EVEN lower spin.

Normally once cold weather sets in here, I would  switch to a "softer" ball. But actually I think the results lie in your swing, regardless of temps, choice of ball,  solid contact with a square clubface gets the best result!  Just try a different ball than you use in the summer. The 2015 ProV1 is about a soft a ball as you would need, so I wont give up spin etc on short shots to put a  distance ball in play.

I tend to stick with the same ball all year round.

We don't really have many competitions at our place during the winter, so I find I just end up using a ball for longer before it ends up in the practice bag!
