I play lots of different courses and get the senior rate (one of the few advantages to being north of 55), which run anywhere from $25 - $45 in season depending on the course. Now that we are past Nov 1st, senior rates are pretty much in the 20s at most courses.

I play all over the place and usually will look for online deals. I'd say we probably average about 30 per round. Sites like golfnow make it easy to find dirt cheap rates at nice courses. You just have to be flexible.

IIn Dayton Ohio the average is $40 with cart. Some more some less.

Just depends on what I am looking to play. If I am playing a public course with friends we usually try to experience a different one each week, which would range from $40-80/round. If I'm going out to just hit around with the buddies and enjoy a beverage during twilight we are looking around $20-25

Well they range from $25.00 to $45.00 on a normal basis. You could play more like about $65-75, even $110.00. But I have as much fun on a $25.00 course as $110.00 fee. I feel that I can play more often if I play at courses which are good value.

A lot of public courses around here (north of Atlanta) will charge between $50-70 for a round on the weekend. Since I am a member of my course I just have to pay a $17 cart fee (which is still a bit of a rip off).

For me, usually $16-$24 (weekdays with senior or military discounts) for nine holes with cart. The course we normally play during the week is $19 for nine for me. So as others have said, it's sometimes good to be south of 60.

I have two memberships one in Alabama and one in Ohio. Both are flat rate memberships at public courses for unlimited golf. This year my cost per round so far in Alabama is at $15, Ohio $7. That's based on 166 rounds played so far this year. Carts not included in either of those costs.

Working during the week really gets in the way of saying on some golf. My local course in the Atlanta suburbs, is a little on the high side for what it is, at $65 on the weekends. Most of the courses I play are in the 40-50 range.
Most I've ever paid was $155 at TPC Las Vegas.

I have not paid to play a round of golf in four years, but it is a perk of working for two nice muni courses in my area. Normal cost for me would be $40 per round with a cart, as I am not yet classified as a senior, even though I am retired.

Hello Curtis N,
Here in Ocean County N.J. you can get a county I.D. card and cut the normal rate by a third. 35 dollars during the week, 25 for seniors. After 3pm in the peak season, you can walk for 9 bucks. Not a bad deal for a course that was built by Georgr Fazio and used to be private.
Play Well,

It usually costs me anywhere from $25-$45 depending on the tee time and the season. I know many courses offer cheaper rates in their "twilight" hours, which helps when I am trying to squeeze in rounds after work during summer.

Normal rates range from $30-$45, depending on time of day, cart or walking. And I get the senior rate. But now, since I work at local muni, I play for free on the 4 courses in city. Hard to beat that price!

My home course is a municipal/public course so charges £28 a round (about $45)

I say ballpark of $30, but I play various courses more than my "normal course."
