I think not getting any golf gear would be awful....

A few years back when I worked at Upper Deck I once was the giver of a great White Elephant gift. The gift was a pristine Prov1 box packed with the most trashed range balls...when my present was opened it became one of the highly desired chase gifts. That box was stolen at least five times before someone looked inside...4 sleeves of roached range balls from Carlsbad Golf Center...totally hilarious!!!

NO. I pick out what I want from my family from the Titleist and FootJoy catalogs. They like the idea and makes it easy on them. And being retired do not have to worry about office gifts.

In appreciation for help I've given to (much) younger co-workers, I'm often offered golf balls as a thank you. One of the hardest to appreciate is a dozen - 2 piece rock-hard distance ball with my image as a logo on the ball. Apparently the "Titleist - #1 Golf Ball" mug prominently displayed on my desk isn't a big enough clue.. sigh

Fortunately, not. However, I do have non playing friends and family who think that ALL golfers want to dress like Bill Murray or John Daly.

Oh boy, me! People know I love golf and will buy some cheap trinket at a discount store. Little plastic worthless items that I cannot use. If they asked me I would tell them a gift card so I can bundle them and get what I really want. Specific golf balls, or right size golf glove, or the exact club I want.
