  1. I've come across some people who have installed golf simulators in their homes? I would love to hear more from the awesome community here. Is it worth it? Any pros and cons?

    Thanks in advance!

I live in Canada and I have had an simulator based on the Optishot simulator for about 8 years now. It isn't the best simulator but my setup cost about $3000 including net, mat, projector and laptop. It let's you play or practice. Some limitations are the height of your ceiling. Mine is 9 ft and I would think that is the minimum. I also bought an aftermarket top surface for the Optishot as the stock one is quite thin and can be quite hard if you typically take a divot. Here is a photo of my setup.

@ Charlene - simply the best decision we have made - especially given the COVID climate. We are in Ottawa so we have about a 6 month golf season +/- depending on weather. Off season we had relied on local indoor sims (some good, some others) and travel frankly to scratch the itch. Last winter when it was unclear about whether we would have a golf season at all we decided to pull the trigger on an indoor sim for the house. We had been looking at sims for a while so we were able to act pretty quickly.

There are so many direction you can go, depending n your budget and you objectives but we use the sim almost every day for either practice or to play a round (will play Pebble today to get in the mood for the ProAm!). Search this and other forums if you get serious there is a lot if help out there and some great ideas for almost every scenario and budget. Good Luck!
