I just got a loaner 905T driver from a buddy as my 909 broke and is being fixed and i noticed if i high it extremely high on the face almost to the point on a skied shot it flies 20 yards further and rolls 15 yards further than a pured shot off the sweet spot.  Why is this?

The high face shot will take spin off the ball and might result in more distance for a player that spins the driver too much.

Center face contact is where you should get optimum launch and spin if the driver fits your swing, and of course the ball.

Your description sounds more like low on the face contact, low launch but with increased spin not knuckle ball(no spin).

What you may be doing is hitting with a descending blow, like you would with an iron.

Worth an investment in contact stickers next time you play.    You'll see excactly where you are hitting the face.
