  1. Does anyone think there might be a use for disabled product testers? I'm not a veteran or anything. I kicked cancers butt though! The battle did take half of my face including an eye so depth perception is a challenge. But after learning how to play with my new body, I've gone from a 40+ handicap to 25-30 over in 6 months time playing once a week... That's really a lot better then I was expecting with all of the effects and changes in my body. I still have my humor, positive outlook, upbeat personality backed by the will to fight though! So HA... If you have any questions or statements, fire away! Won't hurt my feelings in any way, shape, or form! So bring some humor if you want. I started wearing an eye patch with skull and crossbones so I don't scare kids as much. Has really worked! And I even planted a small flagpole in the bed of my truck to fly mostly a pirate flag. Call me pirate Bob. I would've gone with Blackbeard but after so much radiation, I can't really grow facial hair now.... Thanks for reading. Sorry if I waisted your time!

Good to hear you beat cancer. I haven't heard of any disabled product tester opportunities. I would reach out to your local golf pro to see if there are any programs in your area that target disabled golfers. Once connected, you may find others who can provide you with the answer to your question.

Pirate Bob, congratulations on your strong fight and your passion for golf. Glad to have you in TT and hope all continues to go well. Stay active on the forum, maybe try to make a few local or even national outings, and watch for information on ways to contribute. There have even been some on-line video conferencing opportunities. I believe there is one today on the new SM9 wedges. That might get you a random chance at some product testing. Usually testing new pre-release golf balls is the most wide-spread opportunity but please realize there are hundreds of thousands of registered TT members in the system so not everyone gets the random opportunities to test. Still, we have fun sharing stories and information here on the forum. Again, welcome!

    Dude, you're a shipwreck!!!
Congratulations on conquering the mental side of a serious injury, disability, handicap. Maybe not as bad as yours but I've been there. The human is the only animal that can be convinced that a disability has to be a lifelong deterrent to what you want in life.

Much admiration for your comeback and positive attitude. You are a great role model and ambassador. My mom lost her battle with cancer. Cheers. =)
