I have to relate a story about my round this past weekend. It was one of those where you start thinking maybe I should just go home after 9 holes. Well, teed it up on the long par 3 12th hole at a club near me after not listening to myself. Tee shot comes off a mound to the right and rolls to about 30 feet away. Ok, actually hit a green. Let's 2 putt and get out of here. Not so fast. The putt is uphill then downhill with about 4 feet of break. Just got to get the putt to the top of the ridge then let it release to the hole. Yep, ball stops at the top of the ridge. SMH. Tap the next putt and it rolls about 6 feet past the hole. Great. Follow that with a lip out and Merry Christmas. You just snatched a double out of the jaws of a par. Like I said, sometimes you just gotta laugh. Rest of the round wasn't much better but hey I was outside doing what makes me happy (sometimes). Hitting the range this week then back at it again. Let's hear some of those good stories I know are out there that bring a (painful) smile to your face.
