The New Year is here and after reflecting on the past year of golf, it's time to set our sights on the year ahead. So I figured let's get things started with a quick poll to find out what your golf forecast looks like for 2024. Cast your vote below and make sure you add a comment to join the conversation.

I'll get the discussion going... I selected "Play More Golf" and it's safe to say that is a recurring goal for me.

I'm not sure about the rest of you but at the start of every year, I always set out to play more golf than I did the prior year. Now, I may have not logged as many rounds in 2023 as I did in 2022 but I definitely spent more time practicing, so I feel good about saying 2023 was a success. As for 2024, I look forward to practicing and playing more rounds than I did in 2023.

My work life is usually the limiting factor for me and that hasn't changed much. I'll probably log the same amount of rounds in 2024.

Same with me Abdon! Also, with the wedding coming up there's not a ton of free time

Work, kid… life lol but I got in 50 rounds in 2023 so I’m happy with that

I will definitely be playing more in 2024. Last year was a down year with just 62 rounds. Goal is 75!
  6. Absolutely love my new T100s irons and TSR3 Hybrid. I take pride in keeping them clean and shiny in between rounds. Only ProV1’s moving forward too. Can’t wait to play more golf in 2024!

I'm 14 months out after hip replacement and finally feel like my game is getting back to where I want it. To that end I feel my body will allow me to play and practice more (again).
  8. I didnt really get started playing last year until march/april time due to recovering from knee surgery.. so ahead of the game this year.. want to get to single figure but will need a lot more practice

I plan to play more golf in 2024 if I find new people to play with. The people I used to play with have given up the game because of health reasons. I think Golf helps keep me active.
  11. Last year I played once a month. My goal this year is once a week.

Always plan to play the same amount and strive for more.
  13. Weather in the uk has been particularly bad last year so fingers crossed it’s slightly better this year

  16. I've played generally only played weekly league rounds since COVID. Had a TPI assessment recently and am laying the groundwork for a breakthrough year with lessons, fitness and more rounds played and maybe a Titleist fitting. I'm in Michigan, so I have to wait generally until April to play, but can't wait for the season to begin.

I plan to play more this year, trying to play once or twice a week.

Probably planning around the same for 2024. Last year was the big change, retirement and move to Arizona. I established a routine of play and practice that I will likely follow for future years unless health issues get in the way. Mostly local golf, occasional travel golf for TT events, annual Bandon trip, and a few special golf trips as the opportunity arises.
  20. I used to play 50+ rounds per year in the Northeast, but kids have gotten older and their activities demand far more time.....BUT not teeing off at 6:00am and playing 12-15 times is my own fault. Add a couple member guest tournaments and I hope to play between 15-20 rounds this year.

I plan to play more golf this year. Next week begins the 1st of a 10 week winter simulator season. Hopefully, the balmy winter persists and we have an early start to golf courses opening up in Wisconsin. I've been keeping an eye on the summer competitive round schedule and planning to balance golf outings with my "Honey-do tasks" to remain in my wife's good graces.

My 5 year old has taken a liking to putting practice in the basement with me, also. She may graduate to ride/walk alongs with dad on the course this summer. The plan is coming together.

It's been a mild winter so far in Minnesota which allowed me to get out during months when snow is typically on the ground. We are now passed that point so I'm looking forward to getting to the 2024 season!

I think I am definitely in the minority here, but with hectic work and kids schedules, throw in a nagging shoulder injuries, and I could see myself playing less this year. I will still make time for golf trips and work trips, but the “filler” rounds are becoming fewer and farther between. I just hope to make the most of my opportunities and enjoy my time on the course when I can.
