    Hey guys,

I have currently got a wellputt 3m mat but I have read a lot of great reviews on the Perfect Practice V5 putting mat. I believe the new one has improved a lot but they are only currently selling in the US.

Before I try and get one from the US as I live in the UK and will struggle posting back if it isn't any good does anyone have one or used one and can give me some feedback on it?

    Many thanks

  2. They are all very similar, IMHO you get what you pay for in the putting green, putting mat world....

I have a birdie ball mat in my office which is great. It has two speeds, depending on direction, and you can putt from one end to the other. I place a couple of wood shims underneath to create a little break in it as well.

I don't have the V5 version, but I do have a Perfect Practice product that looks very similar to the V5. If the V5 is anything like the version I have then I would recommend it. I find it really helpful with distance control. If you like to take your putter straight back and forward, then the alignment lines will help orient your putter head properly. I keep my Perfect Putter mat rolled out on a hard floor, and it rolls smooth and true.

I have the Birdie Ball one and absolutely love it! Consistent surface and you get two way grain.

We have some Birdie Ball mats in the office and those are definitely solid. I also have a Big Moss Augusta green at home and love that as well. I also have the WellPutt mat and use that a lot to help work on distance control.

I guess you could say golf consumes my life. :)

(Don't ask about my collection of training aids... that would be a long read.)

Start a thread! I just bought a Tour Aim+ to go along with my GT alignment sticks for practice.

I have the Perfect Putting Mat. I love it, and it helps me take the putter straight back and through. I highly recommend it.

I bought the Putt Out Air Break a few months ago. I've enjoyed it quite a bit the times I have used it. Suspect it will get a lot more use when the season is over. I have been impressed with the construction and the fact that you can create breaking putts with it. Can't really putt anything longer than 7.5 feet or so but these are the putts I need to work on the most personally so it's been really cool.

I have a 15ft version, 8ft version of the Perfect Practice putter mat. The long version I have downstairs on our hardwood floor( speeds are very fast on it 10-11 stimp maybe quicker LOL) my 8ft version is up stairs on very thin rug in my golf room slash man cave (work on my short ones with less speed up there. I absolutely love both and use them almost daily. They really come in handy during our Pacific Northwest winters!
