The course was closed for 21 days. Finally got to play, WOW it's almost like I'm just starting to play this game. Anyone else go through this type of issue?

With pretty much back-to-back natural disasters, I'm sure a little rust in the game after 21 days is not unexpected. Enjoy your time out there and you'll be back to your old self in no time. Stay safe.

I live in Asheville and expect I will find out what it's like to be away from the game for a month. In the meantime, I've been practicing my putting, swinging the Speedstick trainer and hitting short pitches off my back porch. Hopefully, in a few days, I will have repaired my hitting bay and can hit full swings again.

Hey, John. All of us down here in Charleston hoping that you guys recover soon. We are seeing the pictures everyday. Asheville is our favorite destination to our northern neighbor. We think about you guys everyday. I have family in east Tennessee and they were blessed, it hit about 45 minutes north of them. TN, NC and SC got hit hard and many have no homes to go to, much less a golf course to play on. Playing golf is a good way to release the tension of a disaster like Helene. We survived Hurricane Hugo here in Charleston and it was because neighbors came together and really supported one another. That is what I have been seeing on the news and bonding is important and helping each other really counts. Wishing you guys and everyone who has been affected by Hurricane Helene nothing but the best and patience is a virtue. We went fourteen days without electricity during Hugo. Thank goodness there was enough charcoal around our neighborhood to cook with on our grills. Thinks like this seem to bring us closer to one another. Mountain power is strong.

Many of us have had medical reasons for time away from playing the game. Some of us came back sooner than others. Wasn’t that long ago we all had to sit out for COVID. We were happy to get back, even if we had to adhere to those silly cart, flagstick, and cup rules.

Been too busy cleaning up Madeira Beach and Treasure Island to play. We were closed for a few days at Southern Hills, nothing major.
