All right TT members, I'm heading to Scottsdale from Sept. 18-22.  My wife has a conference at The Phoenician, so that means I get to golf all day.  I plan on playing the 27 holes at the resort, but I need other must play courses for the other days.  Help me TT members, please.

    Thanks,

    Scott

I played the Grayhawk Golf Club for the first time earlier this year.  Great place.  PM is associated with it and It's kept in perfect condition.  There's two courses, I only got to play Raptor.  Have fun

Scott, I live in Atlanta, but go to Scottsdale once a year to play golf. Here are my Scottsdale favorites: 1.) TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course (Home of the Phoenix Open) A must play. 2.) Troon North Golf Club (The Monument and Pinnacle Courses) Always in pristine shape. The Monumnent is a little easier and contains less blind shots. 3.) Westin Keirland Resort (Both Courses) 4.) Grayhawk Golf Club (Both the Talon and Raptor Courses). Very Good. 5.) Talking Stick Golf Club 6.) Camelback Golf Club (An older club but contains two good courses that are enjoyable and moderately priced, but in good shape). The TPC and Troon North are in my opinion the best in Scottsdale. You can't go wrong with these. Hope that helps. Jason

I haven't lived there in a few years, so there are quite a few new courses I'm sure. But here are some of the must play courses I remember.

    TPC

    Grayhawk

    The Boulders

Rancho Manana (never played there but I always heard the elevation changes and views were amazing)

    Troon North

Golf courses in the Phoenix area are like taco shops here in San Antonio, there is one on every corner, so it won't be hard to find one. The good news is twilight starts around 9 or 10, so you can play $150 courses for dirt cheap. You will have a great time I'm sure.

Thanks for all the info.  I'm going to have to narrow it down to be able to play 36 a day, if possible!  I was looking at Golfnow and a course had a tee time at 4 a.m. for today, is this possible down there?  Can't wait to play down there.

    Scott
