    Hello everyone,

    I just wanted to share my recent experience at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course, which has now become my favorite course of all time. Nestled in the stunning Canadian Rockies, this course offers not only a challenging game but also some of the most breathtaking scenery you could imagine.

    From the moment I arrived, the natural beauty of the course was evident. The fairways are impeccably maintained, and the views of the surrounding mountains create a truly unforgettable backdrop. Each hole presents its own unique challenge, and the layout keeps you engaged throughout the round. The course is known for its strategic design, requiring thoughtful shot placement, and the stunning vistas make every swing a memorable experience.

    If you ever find yourself in the Banff/Jasper area, I highly recommend making the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course a must-play. It's a hidden gem that combines top-notch golf with an unparalleled natural setting. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

    Sadly, the closest I can get to playing now is the simulator at a local club. The fire in the park destroyed a third of the town, damaged portions of the resort, burned the tall fescue in the rough areas, and may not be completely quenched until November.
    While the resort is currently closed, they are intending to reopen the resort, just no date, yet. I wish them well.

    It might be at least a year before it opens back up to the public. Unfortunately the town of Jasper was recently devastated by wildfires destroying most of the town. I hear that the Lodge and course received very little damage but I expect it will be much like the Maui fire. The Lodge will probably be used to support locals during the rebuilding process. Wishing all the Canadians in and around Jasper our condolences and strength during the recovery process.

    Has to be before. They have only recently let residents back into town to assess the damage and the Lodge and course will be closed for quite some time.

    Being an Alberta resident it is nice to see the well wishes for Jasper. A third of the town was destroyed and displaced many residents including a relative. Jasper will come back strong!!
