    Hello Friends!

A group of eight guys are looking to change up our annual golf trip and head to the great state of Wisconsin. We have an in that can get us a tee time at Erin Hills, but this is a week-long trip.

We hope to try to play Sand Valley, Lido, etc. but wanted to see if anyone had any other course recommendations that we should check out.

    Thank you!

  2. I live in NE WIS, just south of Green Bay.

Couple of courses you might consider: Note the below two courses are north east of Erin Hills, closer to Lake Michigan.

THE BOG: Palmer designed course located in Saukville. We played the SR Best Ball at The Bog in July. Nice facility, like a number of holes. Lots of bunkering, several blind shots. Good value at $80.

THE BULL. Nicklaus designed course, beautiful layout, nice practice area. Located in Sheboygan Falls, just south of Kohler. Rates, $100 including cart. (Presuming you have considered the Kohler courses, much higher greens fees).

Two off course ideas close to The Bog and The Bull. 3 Sheeps Brewery, well know craft brewery located in Sheboygan.
Il Ritrovo, great restaurant also in Sheboygan.

Final course recommendation: SentryWorld Golf Course, located in Stevens Point, (125 miles from other courses).

Hosted the US SR OPEN in summer, 2023. Immaculate conditioning, all inclusive pricing, $325 includes, cart, food/drink on course. 20 minute intervals between tee times so it feels like you have the course to yourself.

If you play the BULL or The BOG, easy drive up 43 North to Green Bay for a Lambeau Field Tour.

    Hope this helps. Brian
  3. Bull is awesome and a great challenge. The first 3 holes are deceiving as they are more open. Don’t get fooled by that, the the course brings it hard the rest of the way.
  4. Planning on doing Sand Valley next year. Would love to hear more thoughts from the Wisconsin contingency on here.

Lawsonia ought to be first on your list.

The obvious would also be the Kohler courses.

Great courses in the Dells and accommodations for a group. Check out Trapper's Turn and Wild Rock. On the way from Erin Hills, you could stop at The Oaks (east of Madison) or University Ridge. Plenty of good golf all around Wisconsin. Safe travels.

Group of us knuckleheads got out to Whistling Straits, Erin Hills and Ridgeway. We also caught a TNF Packers game. It was unreal. Wisconsin is a great golf state. It’s a trip I’ll never forget.
