    Hi

This year i made the mistake of binning my beloved 906 f4 15.5 with ys6 for the bells and whistles of the 910f 3 wood.

After going through custom fitting i was surely good to go - what could go wrong.

Months later - After trying every  possible setting on surefit  (after i purchaed the tool) i  have a club i just could not make work on the golf course. Shaft (red diamana still) very inconsistant.

Alternative shafts cost a fortune ie £180 for a fukuki .

So god bless e bay -  on lookout for 909 with ys6, diamana blueboard or fubuki and using old steelhead in mean time.

    Hi John,

Could you share what you are seeing with your ball flight with the 910F in the different settings? Is there something in particular that you are struggling with in respect of it?

We can then try to work through this.

    Thanks

    Neil

    Hi Neil

In neutral settings tried 15 - 15.75 and 16.25 lofts.

If i hit ball with a square swing alignment the result is mostly a low ball flight for all lofts options.

If i play for a cut to gain elevation with ball flight - tending to get a high slice where it feels like shaft is letting go.

Likewise playing for a draw  can result in hooks - particulerly if my hands get too active. I play off 4.

Interestingly i have tried on a range a diamana white board 83 gm x flex in a 13.5 fd  in a more upright setting and got a good ball flight. That shaft was to stiff but when i played a cut i wasnt getting the high slice. Hence thoughts about diamana blueboard or fubuki in fairway s flex. Higher launch but more stable.

The problem i feel is largely shaft related but im not prepared to pay £180 for these shafts.

    Hi John,

There's clearly a lot of questions to be asked to understand the situation better - in relation to the original fit, where you purchased the club, if there's been any swing changes, etc. I'll write to you outside of the discussion board to get your contact details and arrange a convenient time for one of our fitting experts to talk with you.

    Thanks

I can't believe it's anything other than the shaft....

Have you had the same shaft as previous put in?

It is the shaft... no doubt.
