    Hi Guys

    My maiden post on here and I hope someone can help.

    Driver in the bag is 910D2 with aldila rip 60.

    After enough hints the wife got me a 910F 3 Wood for Christmas with a ahina 82 shaft, I went to exchange this shaft at the golf centre for the rip and was told there would be a further upgrade charge???

    Is this normal or a sneaky dealer trying to ''shaft'' me?

    Hi Alan,

    We have a number of stock shafts for our driver, fairway and hybrid products, where the price of the shaft is factored into the price of the club. If a golfer is custom fit into a shaft that is not one of our stock shafts, then there is a surcharge applied to account for the higher cost of these "exotic" shafts.

    It is entirely up to the pro / retailer as to what they price these surcharges at - some will price higher than others.
