i was wondering if you had a driver shaft and could put it on a 3 wood and then cut it down to a 3 wood shaft length is this possible and what does it affect if you do it.

Hi James
In order to avoid invalidating your warranty, this is something that should be returned to Titleist to carry out. Essentially, driver and 3-wood shafts are tipped 0.5" and 1" respectively prior to assembly. If this is an existing shaft taken out of a 910 driver, then it would need tipping a further 0.5" (assuming it is a standard length driver shaft that has been removed from a Titleist driver). The removal and re-attachment of the SureFit Tour coupling is a very exacting process, even down to the composition of the glue and the positioning of the shaft in the coupling. Finally, it would then be cut from the butt end to make it standard 3-wood length. This would replicate the same tip stiffness and shaft flex as it had in the driver.
Your pro will be able to return this to Titleist if you want this done.
Hope this helps.
