Hi I am in the market for 3 new wedges, and after reading numerous reviews on all the latest wedges I have decided to purchase the SM4 wedges. I want to get fit so I know I have the right shaft because I noticed that wedges with the new groove rule tend to launch the ball higher and I like a more penetrating flight. However, working 60 hours a week I can't get to the fitting centre and I understand the fitting centre's don't open over the weekend. I understand there is a demo day at Forest of Arden at the end of March, will you have all the wedge / shaft options there to try, I'm currently using KBS tour stiff shafts in my irons and I'm interested in the KBS Hi Rev shaft to try and keep the flight down. I would welcome anyones comments on the ball launch of the SM4 wedges and what the KBS Hi Rev shaft is like. Thanks Wayne

    Hi Wayne,

Our mobile fitters don't unfortunately have all of the shafts to try - they have the majority of loft and bounce options. I will try to get some more specific feedback on the transition of shafts from your irons into your wedges from one of our fitting centre fitters and post it here.

    Best regards

    Hi Wayne,

As promised, some feedback from one of the fitters at our National Fitting Centre in Scotland:

"Probably the first thing to mention is that the SM4s will launch lower than the original CC Vokey wedges following the groove change. The KBS Hi Rev will also launch lower than the KBS Tour, but weigh the same - so wedges with KBS Hi Rev should compliment the existing iron set up. Clearly, there is no substitute for being properly custom fit, but understanding the restraints on Wayne's time, hopefully this provides some insight."

Additionally Wayne, our fitting centres do open Monday evenings - not sure if that fits in with your work pattern.

    Best regards

    - Neil
