I recently purchased a set of AP1 irons which I am very pleased with. However I recently had a hip operation and have been away from golf for 2 months. I have been reading up on the AP2 irons, and wondered if perhaps I should have considered these instead. I am 66 yrs od and now play off 7. Could you please advise. David Stephenson

    Hi David,

Hope that you are on the mend and will be back on the course soon.

Were you fitted for your AP1s or did you buy as a stock set?

There are, of course, slight performance differences between AP1 and AP2 irons - if you were not fitted for the AP1s, you might wish to consider going to see a Titleist fitting partner to see if there is an advantage delivered by AP2 for your swing. It could be that AP1 still remains the optimum choice for your swing.

If you were fitted and the recommendation was AP1 (and you are pleased with the performance) then you might wish to stay with what you have.

    Thanks

    - Neil
