Hi there, i have just recently bought a new shaft from a well known internet auction site and am wary as to whether the sure fit sleeve is genuine or an aftermarket one. The one on my shaft bought from my golf pro has a serial number where as the one bought used from the auction site does not. Does this mean it is a fake or do some genuine ones have no serial number. Shaft looks fine, has serial number and hologram sticker. Sleeve looks good but no serial number. Have i bought a dud, thanks.

    Hi Brett,

We would always recommend purchasing via an authorised Titleist stockist to minimise the risk of purchasing counterfeit goods.

In this case, it could be that the shaft you have purchased has been removed from a stock club - only custom clubs have the serial number etched on the shaft sleeve.

    I hope that this helps.

    - Neil

Thanks Neil. Am pretty sure its a genuine sleeve now. Hit quite a few balls on the practice area and had couple of rounds. Seems to adjust quite a bit when changed. Knew it was a gamble buying it but was cheap enough to take a chance on. Just need to get the matching fd fairway from my pro now!
