I was fitted recently for AP2 712s. The recommended shaft was KBS Tour stiff, but I did not try any Nippon Shafts, particularly the Modus.

Given that there is a supply issue with KBS and Titleist at present I am trying to find an alternative shaft and I like the sound of the Nippon Modus.

Will it feel and perform similarly to the KBS Tour? Will I need a stronger flex? Or X Flex soft stepped? Has anyone played it?

I'd love to demo this but I don't want to pay for yet another fitting just to hit one different shaft. 

Any experiences / advice most gratefully received.
