Trimming fairway wood shaft

    Our local pro was having a sale.  Long story short, bought a 17 degree 910f with a 3 wood length shaft - as that was all he had in the prefered Kai'li shaft. 

    Would butt trimming it 1/2" to the correct 17 degree length affect the shaft much or is that what happens in production?

    Any help gratefuly receieved

    Hi David,

    The 17 deg 910F would be tipped a half inch shorter than the 15 deg equivalent when it is built by us.

    Butt trimming the shaft by half an inch would make it slightly softer than the shaft supplied in a 17 deg 910F.
