  1. May sound like a amateurish question but on distance alone how will the velocitys compare against the pro v and pro v1x?

Am I right in saying the velocity are also only dual core V the three core Pro V's?

    Hi Ben,

It's not an amateurish question at all!

Distance is always a symptom of how the clubhead is delivered to the ball - angle of attack, swing plane and clubhead speed will all affect distance. The key point to make up front is that all Titleist golf balls are long - for any swing speed, all Titleist golf ball models will be within around 4-5 yards of each other.

Where people tend to notice a difference may well be in the performance of the individual golf ball model or the feel.

In terms of construction, the Velocity is a two piece golf ball (a core and a cover), whereas Pro V1 is a three piece ball (a core, a casing layer and a cover) and Pro V1x is a four piece ball (a dual core, a casing layer and a cover).

For more information on construction, please visit our website www.titleist.co.uk and for information on which ball is right for you, please visit www.titleist.co.uk/golf-ball-fitting

    Hope this helps.
