On about Monday last week i got 3 of the new pro v 1 x's to sample off my local pro, i am 4 handicapper and have always played the pro v 1 x in various forms since its release,so with the weather slightly better i managed to play 3 times after work (9 holes) this week and a full 18 in a competition today

First impressions were very good with the new design certainly appear to be slightly brighter than the old one and maybe a tad firmer on the old tooth test!

To be honest the first nine holes i played with the ball it didnt feel great maybe the colder weather or if i was playing it with along side the old one, i just seemed to be striking the old one better...... but i noticed it didnt quite scuff up as much so that was and kept its appearance better

On the next 9 played i just used the new ball and was swinging very well, it felt good compared to the previous day (slightly warmer but the wind was blowing  a wee bit) i found it to hold its line very well in the wind almost to the point it barely effected it which is defo an improvement on the previous pro v 1 x, spin wise i found it not to spin as much around the greens and it is defiantly a lower spinning ball for me off the driver with a flatter trajectory (913 d2 10.5 with diamana white + shaft)

it convinced me to use it for the comp today and i managed 38 points in tough conditions and tied 1st position! i am very impressed overall with it now, just made a slight change with my chipping technique to get it to stop quicker and love it!

after my first 9 holes with it i was thinking i will just stock up on the old x's when they get reduced to clear but i will certainly be ordering a few dozen of the new x's for the forthcoming season!
