    Saffron Walden,

    I currently have AP2 712 irons 4-pw

I am looking to buy a 2 and 3 iron but looking around I can only get a 3 iron AP2.

I have seen that the 2 irons available are the 712U and the CB.

I would like to know if anyone has used these or tried both. which is the most forgiving and which performs the best.

I will buy the AP2 3 iron as I am used to those clubs but its the 2 iron which is the dilemma.

    thanks in advance

I have the 712cb 2 iron with C-Taper X flex. It is awesome, easy to hit, looks great at address and as Titleist supplied it 1 deg strong it provides the low flight I was looking for playing on links courses.

Highly recommend it and was able to try one at King Acre titleist fitting center before buying

    Hi,

got fitted for ap 2's at st Ives before Xmas. kbs tour .5 longer 2deg up, had the same in 712u and I like it, good club to use off the tee on short tight holes, hollow head construction and it flys off the face like a cannon when struck nicely.

lower launching than ap2 but rolls out a long way, up there with a three wood in reasonably dry conditions.

    never tried a cb.

Good luck deciding but either way valuable club to have in the bag.

    Hi.

Got fitted for CB's at Kings Acre. went for 4-9 iron, 1/2" longer 2 deg upright. Was keen on 712 U. Tried that and the Fd hybrid. Due to my spin rate was advised to go hybrid route and its awesome. Have had hybrids in the past and usually turned into hook machines. Not this one though. def worth looking at.

    Graeme.
